Richard D. (Rick) McCutchen
 

Mr. McCutchen has over 30 years experience in insurance company management. He is a seasoned executive with a broad background in healthcare management, in both profit and non-profit organizations. Throughout his career, he has held positions as CEO, CFO, COO, and CIO as well as many other operational positions. His experience includes managing HMO’s, managed care companies, indemnity health insurance company, life insurance company and third party administrator. His diverse experience includes over 20 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Using his hands-on management style, he has frequently served as a turnaround specialist for companies and operations that are not performing profitably or efficiently. He has experience in startups, acquisitions, divestitures, withdrawals from unprofitable markets and coordination of company defense of litigation. His composed management style has effectively directed and motivated management staff while addressing the challenges associated with change-management.

Academically, he received a BS degree in business administration from Oral Roberts University. Personal interests include reading, travel, sports, movies and investing.
