Kathleen A. (Kathy) Newton
|
 Ms. Newton has more than 30 years experience in operations management; 28 of which have been in the health care industry, 11 at the Vice President and COO level. She has held board seats with three companies.Within health care, her career has included managing every aspect of operations from billing and enrollment/eligibility to customer service, claims, IT, and leasehold facilities in companies at both ends of the size and revenue spectrum. She has extensive experience in indemnity, managed care, PPO and IPA organizations. In addition to her considerable experience in operations management, Ms. Newton has functional management experience in workflow and job re-engineering, productivity improvement and total quality management (TQM). During her career, Ms. Newton has established a reputation as an expert in operations management and has consistently been deployed as an internal consultant outside her areas of responsibility by the companies for which she was employed. Additionally, she has successfully managed many major projects such as computer conversions and business unit integration brought on by corporate acquisitions and mergers of multi-billion dollar companies. Her consultant client portfolio spans the spectrum from privately held small companies to publicly traded companies with annual revenues in the $6 billion range. Her personal interests include personal fitness, reading, travel and gardening.
