Mr. Pennington has 26 years experience in the Health Care Industry in senior management including CFO, COO and CEO. Having managed startups to wind downs, Mr. Pennington has led organizations through the entire spectrum of the business cycle.
Examples of his leadership through hands-on experience include: conversion from non-profit to for-profit, expanding and educating Boards of Directors, managing media relationships, adjusting product mix and pricing, acquisition and divestiture of Health Maintenance Organizations and Third Party Administrators, coordinating the initiation and defending of litigation, designing budgeting and rating models, negotiation and settlements of provider risk based contracts, directing interactions with state and national regulators, etc.
His experience in senior management positions within hospitals and physician clinics gives him a distinct advantage in understanding how to deal more effectively with the provider side of managed care issues.
Throughout his career Mr. Pennington has established a reputation as a creative problem solver with a calm management style effectively directing and motivating the management staff in addressing the varied challenges facing his client organizations.
His hobbies include writing, publishing, digital photography and golf.
