 Ms. Steppe has 19 years of operational management and Big 5 consulting experience in healthcare including HIPAA regulatory compliance, IT/e-business strategy, system integration, managed care, business development, change management, health plan organizational design & development, contracting, Fortune 500 + client interfacing, as well as start-up & reengineering of provider, self insured employer & health plan operations.
Her practical industry experience includes consulting in PricewaterhouseCoopers SI/IT and National HIPAA practice, start-up managed care & Medicare Risk HMOs, P&L responsibility for a $14M HMO, reengineering a $3M 100 physician PPMC's managed care division, VP of a $40M PPMC IPO & participation on executive boards.
Her background in managed care, biochemistry & hospital clinical skills, provides abilities to adapt in versatile healthcare environments. Recent efforts include the turnaround of a national health & welfare HIPAA consulting practice by salvaging tenuous client relationships, forming strategic alliances, closing new professional service offerings & successfully managing client engagements. Additionally, she assisted in developing PricewaterhouseCoopers HIPAA methodology, tools & product rollout.
She has performed over 20 HIPAA engagements & speaks nationally and internationally. She has a MBA from the University of Phoenix and BS in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona and is a member several industry related associations.
