 Ms. Thoma has over 21 years experience in Operation's management, 18 of which have been in the health care industry. Having managed an 800-employee multi-site operation, she has extensive experience in membership and billing, claims, customer service, recruitment and training. Her service integration experience in indemnity, managed care, and PPO environments have been in for-profit and non-profit organizations.
She has held leadership positions on senior management teams in matters of strategic planning, business re-organizations, and mergers. She has functional management experience in project management, productivity and process improvement, TQM, and management coaching and development.
During her career, Ms. Thoma has established a reputation as an expert in process improvement, using technology to achieve production and quality gains.
Academically, Ms. Thoma performed her undergraduate work at the State University of New York, Fredonia, New York. Additionally, she has completed studies in gerontology and aging at the University of Washington. Her personal interests include travel, reading, and cooking.
