 Mr. Travers has over 30 years experience in the Health Care Industry in claim and member service operations. Having managed a 350-employee regional service center, he has extensive experience in eligibility, customer service, claims, IT, facilities, TQM, training, staff recruitment and development, team building and system conversions.
His experience encompasses Managed Care, Indemnity and TPA programs for both profit and non-profit organizations. His consulting clients include United Health Care, Oxford Health Plans, and CSC. Recently he was Vice President of Claims Operations for an IDS where he designed and implemented several breakthrough methods to improve the cost and efficiency of provider reimbursement.
Throughout his career, Mr. Travers has established a reputation as an expert in process reengineering and TQM, teaching organizations how to improve quality and efficiency while significantly reducing operation costs. His solutions are a blend of innovative thinking, creative uses of technology and effective empowerment of staffs.
He has also frequently been employed as a turn-around specialist for operations that fail to meet basic service delivery standards. Over the last three years he has also developed a reputation as an expert in outsourcing, to include the use of international capabilities in the Far East.
Mr. Travers' personal interests include reading, movies, travel and sports.
